These are images of the pieces - still life plaques and wall vases - which I am exhibiting at the exhibition titled 'Introspective Nostalgia' opening on Saturday 20th August at The Potters' Shop, Rouxville Road, Kalk Bay.
The past month was spent making an order of coffee mugs, bowls and plates for The Algoa Bay Coffee Co. in Pretoria - a trendy - and the best - coffee shop in the country, now stocking trendy ceramics! (These images were taken in the shop.)
A week of trying to solve some serious glaze problems - the trials and tribulations of ceramics - glazes blistering and so on... However one successful project was a commission to make floating faces (about the size of a dinner plate) to hang on the wall. These are going to live in a rather trendy high tech apartment where they should look rather funky!
